The BC-1500 InnerScan PRO is Tanita's newest and most advanced consumer product, offering multi-frequency, radio wireless, segmental body composition measurements. This monitor uses ANT+ radio wireless technology and FDA-cleared bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) technology to provide a comprehensive analysis of body composition, including muscle mass, body water percentage, basal metabolic rate, metabolic age, bone mass, visceral fat, and body physique. The BC-1500 InnerScan PRO is designed to connect to a personal computer running Windows and the FREE Healthy Edge Lite Software (limited to 8 users) using ANT+ protocol to record, graph, and analyze data on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Users can also upgrade to Healthy Edge Plus Software for unlimited users.

The BC-1500 InnerScan PRO uses eight BIA electrodes, including retractable hand grip electrodes and standard feet electrodes, to provide a segmental review of the body, allowing users to monitor the balance of the left and right side of the body or to track progress in building or rehabilitating a particular body part.
